The Club was founded in the early 1960's in a converted Army Cookhouse which was used by the Wilts and Berks Regiment as a drill hall at times.

After purchasing, the club was modernised by moving the entrance from the ATC hut end to the Springfield Road end and an annex added to contain a Kitchen and Toilet which have now been completely modernised and updated to provide disabled toilet access.
